On August 20th, the 7th China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week Financial First-Class Discipline Construction Alliance Conference and International Exchange Seminar on Financial Education, hosted by the Financial First-Class Discipline Construction Alliance of the Higher Finance and Economics Education Branch of the China Higher Education Society and undertaken by Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, was held at the permanent venue of the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week in Guizhou. Professor Xu Dan Dan, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of our university, was invited to attend the meeting and deliver a keynote speech. Guo Xinyuan, Director of the Party Committee's Graduate Work Department, Qiu Yong, Vice Dean of the Business School, and Zhang Chenyu, Director of the Intelligent Finance and Accounting Department, also participated in the series of discussions.
As an important part of the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week, the conference focused on educational cooperation between China and ASEAN, and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the topic of internationalization of financial education. Over 130 experts and scholars from the Higher Finance and Economics Education Branch of the China Higher Education Society, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, University of International Business and Economics, University of Malaya, and other universities shared and discussed discipline construction and talent cultivation under the background of the internationalization of financial education.
Professor Xu Dan Dan delivered a keynote speech titled "Innovation and Practice of Digital Business Talent Cultivation Model under International Perspective." She elaborated on the innovative practices of our university's digital business talent cultivation from four aspects: construction background, innovative measures, work effectiveness, and future outlook. She first analyzed the new requirements for digital talent cultivation due to the development trend of higher education, dissected the four stages of educational digitalization, and summarized the challenges faced by higher education. She pointed out that to adapt to the strategy of Digital China and the trend of educational transformation in the digital era, our university has actively implemented the national strategy for educational digitalization and the deployment of educational digital transformation in Beijing. Combining international practices of higher education digitalization, the university has taken the initiative to adapt to new changes in digital business talent cultivation, systematically planned top-level design, actively adjusted institutional settings, built a faculty-college-academy education system, established a Digital Future Center, created smart classrooms, and cultivated teachers' information application capabilities, making comprehensive progress in the digital transformation of business. Significant achievements have been made in team construction, professional course construction, teaching achievements awards, and subject competitions. In the future, the university will deepen the integration of technology and education, rely on the construction of the academy system, reform majors, courses, teachers, and textbooks across the university, and build a new ecology of digital education.
The meeting determined that the 8th Financial First-Class Discipline Construction Alliance Conference will be hosted by our university next year. At the closing ceremony, Professor Xu Dan Dan made a statement on behalf of the next host university, and Guo Xinyuan, Director of the Party Committee's Graduate Work Department, accepted the alliance flag on behalf of the representative.
During the conference, Professor Xu Dan Dan was also invited to participate in the International Forum on Talent Cultivation of Financial Professionals under the Background of the Digital Economy, hosted by Central University of Finance and Economics, where they discussed how to develop higher education and cultivate financial talents under the background of the digital economy.
The Business School will earnestly absorb the valuable experience from this seminar in the future talent cultivation process, actively participate in the preparation for the 8th Financial First-Class Discipline Construction Alliance Conference, and take this opportunity to continue to promote the digital transformation and international development of the school's business disciplines, effectively improve the quality of talent cultivation and discipline construction in digital business, and contribute to the construction of the university as a high-level research university.
