Recently, the Beijing Municipal Education Working Committee and the Municipal Education Commission announced the winners of the 2023 Capital University Teachers and Students Service Rural Revitalization Action Plan. Business School's project, "Revitalizing Agriculture through Business: The Yurun Pear Village Initiative," received an Excellence Award.
In 2023, summer social practice project at Business School Beijing Technology and Business University will focus on Jia He Village in Liulihe Town, Fangshan District—a site with a long-standing partnership. This initiative targets two main goals: "industrial revitalization through business" and "cultural enrichment for a civilized countryside." Participants are divided into five groups specializing in training, harvesting, publicity, marketing, and cultural creativity.
        The project aims to revitalize local industries by utilizing limited resources to create a diversified sales system for Jia He Village. Through online and offline channels, we helped farmers sell 665 pounds of white pears for an income of 3,459 yuan—supporting local economic development while guiding villagers toward prosperous agricultural practices. Additionally, we provided digital e-commerce training to enhance villagers' sales skills; our design efforts for the picking festival opened new revenue streams while attracting diverse consumer attention; establishing business school alongside social practice base facilitates better communication regarding information exchange and assistance coordination—laying groundwork for future collaborations.
        This initiative also promotes cultural revitalization by enhancing rural aesthetics in Jia He Village. We produced promotional videos showcasing unique features such as local scenery including historical elements like the century-old pear garden and archaeological sites from Shang-Zhou periods along with “Six Fangshan Mountains.” These efforts encapsulate distinct regional culture alongside tourism resources reflecting Jia He’s rich heritage. Utilizing platforms like People's Daily Digital Media Youth Studio official Weibo account among others—including Education New Observation & Learning Power—we reached over 3,500 visitors across various channels including university websites and popular social media platforms like Bilibili and Douyin.
        This endeavor leverages our college's strengths in business digital transformation while maximizing team members’ expertise through collaborative discussions ensuring effective cooperation which serves as a model for cultivating future business talent. Members have experienced growth in organization skills coordination abilities effective communication teamwork dynamics—all while positively contributing to rural development initiatives around suburban Beijing.
        Rural revitalization is crucial national strategy aimed at advancing agriculture bolstering modern socialist construction thereby facilitating China's grand rejuvenation mission during this new era is indeed our responsibility!
