To accelerate the construction of our university's Digital Business Interdisciplinary Platform and further enhance the school's research and innovation capabilities and academic competitiveness in the era of the digital economy, a promotion meeting for the construction of the Digital Business Interdisciplinary Platform was held on the morning of August 20 at the Fucheng Road campus. The meeting was chaired by Director Sun Yongbo, and attended by the school's Party Committee Deputy Secretary and President Guo Jianhua, heads of various disciplinary platforms, and relevant faculty team members who shared their thoughts and visions in the process of building the Digital Business Interdisciplinary Platform.
Teachers from the Business School also participated in the meeting and shared their suggestions for the construction of the Digital Business Interdisciplinary Platform. Professor Chen Libin, a faculty member of the Digital Consumption Platform, pointed out that the construction of digital consumption theory and the establishment of a big data platform are the core directions of research. However, data collection is currently incomplete, and future cooperation with enterprises and industry associations should be strengthened to obtain more comprehensive data. Teacher Shi Haijiao also emphasized that building a shared platform for consumer big data is a fundamental task and experiences from universities such as Fudan University in building consumer big data platforms can be referenced. Teacher Fu Xiaoye proposed that digital business should make breakthroughs in three aspects: theoretical innovation, market application, and social service, while also emphasizing the intersection of disciplinary content and methodology.
The purpose of this meeting is to promote cutting-edge research and practical application in the field of digital business through resource integration and disciplinary intersection, and to help the school achieve leapfrog development against the backdrop of the integration of emerging technologies and business. Through this meeting, the school not only demonstrated its development vision in the field of digital business but also provided important support for the development of the Business School. The construction of the platform will further enhance the academic research level and market application capabilities of the Business School, promoting the college to achieve more breakthrough results in this field.
