On the morning of June 18, 2024, Wang Chongming, General Director of BGA & AMBA International Accreditation Association of China and senior professor of Liberal Arts at Zhejiang University, was invited to come to the School of Business to guide the work of BGA International Accreditation. Fu Shilun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School, He Yurun, Dean of the Business School, Zhao Chuan, Vice Dean of the Business School, Liu Hong, Vice Dean of the Business School, Xu Xiaofang, Vice Dean of the Business School, Qiu Yong, all the staff of the Business School's International Accreditation Center, the person in charge of the sample courses, and the staff of the MBA Center attended the meeting.
Fu Shilun expressed his warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Prof. Wang Chongming, and briefly introduced the development overview of the college and the importance of BGA international accreditation. He emphasized that BGA Accreditation is an important opportunity for the Business School to improve its teaching quality and strengthen international exchanges, as well as an important step for the School to internationalize its education.
Afterwards, Prof. Wang Chongming had an in-depth discussion on the writing of BGA accreditation report with the attending teachers of the Business School. He explained in detail the core requirements of the accreditation report and made specific suggestions on the structure, content and presentation of the report. He emphasized that the accreditation report should fully demonstrate the teaching characteristics, faculty strength and internationalization achievements of the college. Prof. Wang also made specific suggestions on the next writing arrangement of the accreditation report as well as the key nodes.
Regarding the construction of sample courses, Prof. Wang Chongming discussed with the faculty members of the School of Business how to create courses with international vision and characteristics in combination with the BGA accreditation standards. He proposed that the sample courses should highlight the practicality and innovation, focus on cultivating students' critical thinking and cross-cultural communication skills, and at the same time strengthen the in-depth integration of ESG concepts, responsible management, sustainable development and other concepts with the courses to improve the quality of the courses.
Next, Prof. Wang Chongming personally signed books for the MBA students who attended the Management Psychology course and encouraged them to integrate the ideas of sustainable development and responsible management into their life and work in the future. Prof. Wang Chongming also visited the College's baseroom and made pertinent suggestions on the design and facilities of the baseroom.
Finally, He Yurun summarized the meeting, pointing out that the visit of Prof. Wang Chongming has provided important guidance and support for the BGA Gold Accreditation work of the School of Business. The Business School will further practice the concept of green, responsible and sustainable management, focus on discipline construction and curriculum optimization, and continuously improve the quality of teaching and internationalization, so as to contribute to the cultivation of more high-quality talents with international vision and innovation ability.
