In order to enhance the quality of master's degree candidates and promote the exchange and interaction among outstanding undergraduate students from universities nationwide, the Business School's 2024 National Outstanding University Student Summer Camp series of activities were successfully held online from July 15th to 16th. Over 200 eligible students from more than 90 universities registered and participated in this event.
At 9:00 am on July 15th, the summer camp officially commenced online. Fu Shi Lun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School, He Yu Run, Dean, the college leadership, and directors of various departments and centers attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Zhao Chuan, Vice Dean of the Business School. At the start of the meeting, Fu Shi Lun, Secretary of the Party Committee, extended a warm welcome to the students participating in the summer camp, providing a detailed introduction to the history and recent academic development of the university and the college, expressing his hope that students would experience the strong academic atmosphere and spiritual connotations of the institution. Dean He Yu Run offered cordial messages to the participants, wishing them a fruitful and insightful experience at the Business School, and encouraging them to continue the legacy of senior students and distinguished alumni by striving for academic and research excellence.
The two-day summer camp was conducted across six parallel sessions, which included accounting, business management, management science and engineering, financial management, tourism management, and logistics engineering and management. The activities of the summer camp covered a range of aspects, such as introductions to disciplines and majors, lectures by renowned experts, prospects for academic development, presentations on training characteristics, showcases of research platforms, and exchanges with senior students. On July 16th, each session conducted rigorous assessments of the participants and selected outstanding campers, with the percentage of excellent campers ranging from 30% to 50%.
The successful organization of this summer camp has increased the visibility of the university and the college, showcased the strengths of the disciplines, provided a platform for communication and exchange for outstanding students nationwide, deepened the students' overall understanding of the college, attracted a multitude of excellent students, and laid a solid foundation for the college's recruitment of graduate students this year.
