Basic overview

The Department of Business Administration of Beijing Industrial and Commercial University has a history of more than 60 years. It originated from the management major of the Central Business School (1959). It has been recruiting undergraduate students since 1960 and graduate students in 1984. In 2002, business administration was approved as a key major of the Ministry of Internal Trade and a key construction discipline of Beijing. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it was jointly established with the Central University of Finance and Economics in 2004.Train doctoral students. Since 2007 and 2010, it has begun to train graduate students in MBA and MPAcc majors. In 2013, it was approved by the Beijing Collaborative Innovation Center for State-owned Asset Management. In 2019, it was approved by the first batch of high-precision disciplines in Beijing, and in 2021, it was approved for the right to grant Ph.D. degrees in first-level business administration disciplines. At present, the discipline has 4 national-level first-class professional construction points, 1 Beijing first-class major, and 2 Beijing key (construction) disciplines.


Training goals

With Lide Shu as the fundamental task, we will build a pattern of full, whole process, and all-round education for all employees, and cultivate high-level innovative talents in business administration who serve the needs of the country and the capital's economic and social development and have both family and national aspirations, moral and talent.

The specific requirements are as follows

1. Have a firm political position and good ideological and moral qualities.

2. Possess a solid and generous theoretical foundation of management and systematic and in-depth professional knowledge, master the cutting-edge theories and research methods of modern management, and be familiar with the international frontiers and development trends of this discipline.

3. Master a foreign language, be able to read foreign language materials in that language proficiently, have certain foreign language writing skills, and be able to conduct international academic exchanges more proficiently.

4. It has the innovation ability to independently engage in teaching and scientific research in universities, and to independently produce innovative research results, as well as the ability to engage in management innovation in the fields of government management, service industry and state-owned enterprises.


Research direction

1. Accounting and Financial management:

The direction of accounting mainly studies the basic theories of accounting, internal control, and audit and their role in the capital market. It focuses on the research on the protection mechanism and effect of accounting information on state-owned shareholders and other shareholders in the capital market. The specific research directions are: (1) accounting and investor protection; (2) audit and risk control.

The direction of financial management mainly studies the basic theory of corporate finance and its application in the management of state-owned enterprises. It focuses on the research on the financial behavior and relationship of funders formed by shareholders, especially state-owned shareholders, on the basis of the separation of the two powers. The specific research directions are: (1) corporate finance and state-owned asset management; (2) corporate governance and group control.

2. Enterprise management and service marketing:

The direction of enterprise management mainly studies the theory of enterprise management and its application and innovation in service enterprises. It focuses on research on the operation and management innovation of service enterprises, especially circulation, science and technology, and tourism service enterprises, in the digital economy environment. The specific research directions are: (1) strategy and innovation management; (2) marketing and service management; (3) organization and human resource management; (4) tourism information technology and big data management.

3. Supply chain and operation management:

The direction of supply chain and operation management mainly studies logistics and supply chain management theory and its application in modern enterprise management, focusing on urban logistics, e-commerce logistics, smart supply chain and supply chain finance.
